craggsy 91
Right someone tell me how this connects up. I have a good idea just need people to confirm what i'm thinking reallyJust say which is which and where it goes or comes from?
cabrioman 6
looks like fuel IN the right hand side and OUT on the top and the vac hose to the small one ... but double check with jim
craggsy 91
Thats what im thinking...so sounds good
Charged VR 0
That is how mine is set up, do you have the tap to replace the fuel pressure regulator in the rail? The other end with the tap is where you fit the gauge for pressure adustment
craggsy 91
Eh, confused me now Johnno. Was gonna put fuel reg on suspension tower where those spare scres are. as its easier to do fuel line. Got plenty of pipe for fuel reg in fuel rail to reach there
Charged VR 0
Sorry didnt mean to confuse the situationYou replace the standard Fuel pressure regulator with a tap that allows you to return the fuel through the adjustable fuel pressure regulator.then blank the return line at the inlet side of the fuel rail,Does that make sense? craggsy 91
Now that makes sense, and goes with what pics ive saw of the lads motor i bought it from.Just getting set in my mind what goes where now its going in.By pass valve vac hose connects to where, inlet manifold? or some other vac point? Charged VR 0
i fitted a t-piece and used the standard fuel pressure regulator vacumn hose to run the aftermarket fuel pressure regulator and dump valve. Just tidied the vacumn hose away
craggsy 91
So plug it into manifold where standard fpr plugs into then?I can then use a different point for boost gauge then, on the brake vacs, yes?
cabrioman 6
So plug it into manifold where standard fpr plugs into then?I can then use a different point for boost gauge then' date=' on the brake vacs, yes?[/quote']yeah thats rite craig .... im running my boost gague, rfpr and water injection from that vac hose
Charged VR 0
i just T-pieced into the dump valve vacunm line for the boost gauge
craggsy 91
Just want it to look fairly neat and not loads of t pieces cut into it...asking for leaks that is
Charged VR 0
undearstand, once the metal boost pipe from charger to inlet is fitted its amazing how much can be hidden for a clean instalation
craggsy 91
True....not put that in yet so wasnt sure how much it will hide.getting excited now.....as I know it will be done tomorrow. One other thing, priming the charger. It says used compressed air to force oil down to inlet then tighten. Im on my drive doing this tho
Charged VR 0
You need to prime the charger fluid feed pipe all the way to the charger. i have a compressor so i did this as stated. where are you fitting the bottle?maybe fill the pipe then connect to bottle and blow into the bottle until fluid coming out at union at charger.you will lose some fluid doing this which is a major s*** as is quite expensive
Gadget-Master 2
Craig, I don't know if this might be of use...My fuel reg set up.Its a real pain having the fuel rail connection at the opposite end of the fuel line. I used braided hose and Earls connections for extra safety as the fuel line is crossing the engine bay.
