Replacing Golf V6 4motion Temp Sender

Hi this is my first post, i have recenty brought a Golf V6 4motion. i have been having problems with the temp gauge working on and off. Having looked on the web for the solutions i have come to the conclusion that its the temp sender, i have got one now and want to install it myself. Having seen a couple of how to installs on the web (golf D 115bhp) i went to do it yesterday but, the engine lay out of V6 looked totally different.

does anyone know where the temp sender is situated on the V6 enignes???

I would really appreciate any help.
