Ben Seabrook 4
As above - sometimes they work fine and other times not at all then they work and switch themselves off !!! am at a total loss with electronics so any help would be appreciated is it a loom that needs replacing or just a possible loose connection ?? legvw 0
Could be the relay, but i don't know which 1 it is under the dash. Put them on and just touch any of them to feel if they click. Probably easiest to eliminate the relay first.

Ben Seabrook 4
got a mate to follow me today to see what was happening and he said every time I braked the hazards (all round) lit up and every time you indicate they all light up aswell :^) :-( any ideas ?? am going to try and get a new relay tomorrow
thegoth 5
sounds more like a short between the brake and indicator circuits. will consolt some wiring diagrams and get back to ya.....
thegoth 5
do the dash arrows light up along with all the indicators?
Ben Seabrook 4
no mate the dash arrows sometimes work but more often than not they don't light up - or light up briefly and then go off again !! cheers for the help mate
thegoth 5
my guess is the dash lights depend on whether you are braking whilst trying to indicate or not?try unplugging each of the rear clusters in turn to rule out a short in them.otherwise the commonest point is plug K on the back of the fuse/relay board. brake light uses K/4 and the indicators K/1 & K/7have you done anything electrical recently such as fitting heated seats / stereos / amps etc.
ventovr6essex1 0
sounds like a earthing problem if u are affecting other lights fella
Ben Seabrook 4
nah the only thing electrical I have done is try and fit the new dials - I suppose I might have messed something up when I did that ?? the braking and indicating thing makes sense as well as they seem to work better as you approach a junction rather than sat waiting !!
