I need some time away from work and this god foresaken rock :-d[/quote']as ben as said, yes.only prerequisite is to have a good read through this web site http://www.nurburgring.org.uk/ to understand the risks and responsabilities
warby 0
Have read through but what is the crack insurance wise? Admiral have it on the certificate that the ring is not included, will the jerrys look? I am the of the most conservative drivers youll meet if im unsure ill back off a bit if i know the road weel ill give it some :-dSorry but im a reet noob and we're very sheltered on our little rock.
andylaurence 0
If Admiral specifically exclude it and that's your insurer, you are NOT insured. If you crash, you'll be liable for replacing your car, all your medical bills (check your travel insurer) and the barriers you hit. More importantly, you'll be liable for any accident where you are at fault and you will have to pay third party costs. You may think £10k for someone's car may be a lot and £50k for a Porsche a lot more but that's nothing compared to a personal injury claim. Whether you drive or not is your decision. Jamesr_VR6 0
You can get insurance specifically for the ring i do beleive? but is a hefty price of something like £70 a day, but probably well worth it if you really are worried, otherwise your gunna potter round the ring, bricking it and not really enjoying yourself. If you have insurance at least you can let loose n have a wee bit of fun.Andy - stop putting people off!!! lol

Prob be wise to pussy on the first trip and hitch a ride round learn the ropes as such :-dYou can always find someone to give you a passenger lap if you want to learn. Drive it like a country lane and you'll have a great time. You don't need to go balls-out fast to have fun.

Some insurers will cover you 3rd party as part of your annual insurance premium. I don't know of any that'll cover you fully comp. The daily insurance you can get covers you for the charges from Nuerburgring Gmbh for damages to Armco, et al. I'm not putting people off, I'm just fully informing them so they don't go, have a mishap and find themselves in a whole heap of crap that they never envisaged. In reality, if you drive sensibly, there's very little chance of anything going wrong. Breakdowns on track cost at least £300 though, as we found out this year.
Jamesr_VR6 0
i was only messing!!!its best to know all of the factsim pretty sure i saw online somewere ring insurance, if i find it i'll post it up
andylaurence 0
This is the place that does barrier insurance. It's £99 per day, you have to have your car inspected and it only covers 10000 Euros for barrier repairs or losing an arm. Someone gets 30000 Euros if you die too.
Jamesr_VR6 0
haha lvoely thoughts!!!this place do track day insurance and can cover you for single days or a years worth of trackinghttp://www.heritage-quote.co.uk/track-day-cover.cfmive jsut submitted a qoute to see what prices they offer, i will update with the results later!! andylaurence 0
You'll need to read the fine print though - it's not technically a track day. It doesn't specify what it's insuring either. Is it insuring your car, you, someone else's car or someone else? To what level?
Jamesr_VR6 0
From what ive read so far they break the cover down, so competition track day cover will only cover the track and personal injury, whereas personal track cover RWYB style covers everything, ive detailed on the qoute it is to be used for the nurburgring because as far as im aware althought the ring is still classed a german highway and is governed by german highway laws insurance company's deem it as a track which is why they dont cover it under standard comprahensive insurance.but i'll wait tos ee what they come back withDoesnt seem to be any fineprint on the actual website as such
