Sorry but im a reet noob and we're very sheltered on our little rock.

If Admiral specifically exclude it and that's your insurer, you are NOT insured. If you crash, you'll be liable for replacing your car, all your medical bills (check your travel insurer) and the barriers you hit. More importantly, you'll be liable for any accident where you are at fault and you will have to pay third party costs. You may think £10k for someone's car may be a lot and £50k for a Porsche a lot more but that's nothing compared to a personal injury claim. Whether you drive or not is your decision.

You can get insurance specifically for the ring i do beleive? but is a hefty price of something like £70 a day, but probably well worth it if you really are worried, otherwise your gunna potter round the ring, bricking it and not really enjoying yourself.

If you have insurance at least you can let loose n have a wee bit of fun.

Andy - stop putting people off!!! lol

I thought as much. Prob be wise to pussy on the first trip and hitch a ride round learn the ropes as such :-d

You can always find someone to give you a passenger lap if you want to learn. Drive it like a country lane and you'll have a great time. You don't need to go balls-out fast to have fun.

You can't get one-off 3rd party insurance for the 'Ring as far as I know. Some insurers will cover you 3rd party as part of your annual insurance premium. I don't know of any that'll cover you fully comp. The daily insurance you can get covers you for the charges from Nuerburgring Gmbh for damages to Armco, et al. I'm not putting people off, I'm just fully informing them so they don't go, have a mishap and find themselves in a whole heap of crap that they never envisaged. In reality, if you drive sensibly, there's very little chance of anything going wrong. Breakdowns on track cost at least £300 though, as we found out this year.

From what ive read so far they break the cover down, so competition track day cover will only cover the track and personal injury, whereas personal track cover RWYB style covers everything, ive detailed on the qoute it is to be used for the nurburgring because as far as im aware althought the ring is still classed a german highway and is governed by german highway laws insurance company's deem it as a track which is why they dont cover it under standard comprahensive insurance.

but i'll wait tos ee what they come back with

Doesnt seem to be any fineprint on the actual website as such
