sirleeofroy 0 Posted June 3, 2009 Report Share Posted June 3, 2009 Hi guys, i suspect that my coil has gone on my vr (92 obd1 dizzy model) and upon removing the existing coil ive found 'polo' written on the side (second hand part i presume) i would just like to check the part number i should have to replace it if anyone knows... the coil i have says : Intermotor 12916.... is this right???Cheers Link to post Share on other sites

They are £80 or so each Think the eurocarparts / GSF ones are one piece.The main coil VW part # is 357 905 104, Bosch # 1227030051. When that didn't fix my spark problems I sourced a remanufectured amp from the US so don't have the VW part #stop press:http://www.motorcityreman.com/booe00.htmlBosch 0-273-200-111, 0-273-200-118VW-Audi 357-905-352, 379-905-352 As you have found lesser coils do seem to work.
