rodney 17
as with all these things if you need more you need more. but you are making a step up into the greather field of modifications when you go to stage 3.... if you join up as a premium member there a some threads on this...membership is £15 and you'll save that on your insurance with the 15% discounts... john555 0
i looked into this and its pretty near impossible without spending 3 or 4 grand as you need ceramic bearings and a toothed belt setup and even the the bearings are supposedly on there limit
Eat this 2
the bearings are rated to 20 psi afaik but yeah the pulley setup would need stupid tension to stick at 15 psi
wayne_1@tiscali.co.uk 27
vf enginnering only makes a stage 3 set up 12 psi pulley to create 10 psi u can send your charger to america as the bearings are only good for stage 3 only u will def need to upgrade which will cost £150 plus shipping and u will have to get a custom pulley made as vf only make 12psi and no -more but it all depend who maps it as ns racing had a stage 3 vr running 312bhp mapped by a company in england i will not mention but then ns racing started working with a company, sls tuning in germany and they re-mapped and got 357 bhp and it pulls like a train
Radostormvr6 2
When i had my V9 with 12psi pulley i made 338bhp, that was with Emerald management and Schimmel short runner and chargecooler. That was the limit then you start shredding belts

john555 0
theres loads of threads on vortech about this iv tryed to find away of doin it for agesits probly possible but iv been told even the ceramic bearings start to fail at 15 as the belt needs to be stupidly tighy as the drive pully would be tinygruven will make a custom crank pully ect with larger dimeters to you could run a bigger charger pully and still make 15psi but then you need a new belt and it still mite not even help muchor you could go for a toothed setup but thats 1400+
Eat this 2
if you used a toothed belt you wouldnt need much tension at all so the bearings would be far less stressed its just a shame the kit is mega money because then your talking rotrex money which a better system too
john555 0
yer that what i was try to say the gruven one may work but i dont know anyone that tryed it i think they quoted me 150 for a crank pully with a custom dia so not to expensive to be fair
