drlinkin 0
Evening guys. Hope this is a nice easy one to sort! After much toiling and fiddling with my '96 highline I have diagnosed the starting fault as ignition switch.Where is the best place to source a replacement? I have checked ebay and the usual routes, but is VW my best bet?Not sure whether its worth going for a genuine part from the dealer, or a 'patent' one. Thanks in advance! Charged VR 0
Only around £20 + vat from a dealer, worth a genuine one for that £££

Hairyarse 0
They'll want to know year, may be enough. Go VW, I bought one for my MK1 a while back, I think from GSF from memory and it cost more than from VW dealer. They're quite common parts as used across range of vehicles - think the MK1 switch is used on commercial vehicles too - maybe same for the MK3?
