mine need doing for MOT, now i kno that the standard ones are an animal to get in and out, but searching thru the old posts on here some people have said that powerflex http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/POWERFLEX-REAR-BUSH-KIT-VW-GOLF-MK3_W0QQitemZ270410859063QQcategoryZ40192QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp2773.m263QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DSIC%26its%3DI%252BC%252BP%26itu%3DUCI%252BIA%252BUA%252BIEW%252BFICS%252BUFI%252BP%252BIIUM%26otn%3D21%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D54 ones are jus a slide in fit. is this true? if so has anyone got opinions on them? cos would be cheaper for me to fit these, than get standard ones and pay to get them fitted

cheers dan

Just had mine done i got the beam off myself and it cost me £30 to get them replaced the oe bushes are £36 each iirc.................new oe ones are going to be far better than knackered oe ones, just think how long the original ones lasted for ?......... :-p

Yea i was correct with my price just checked my receipts, what i meant was that the original ones have lasted for years and i wouldnt want to keep changing bushes if they dont last as long (poly's).Because everytime your paying for fitting so in the long run you may be worse off, that said i have no experience of poly's so dont know about longevity........... ^o)

dont know how long polys will last took 4 hours to get the axle off remove old bushes and refit, polys just slide in but are a pain to get back into the axle supports as they are wider and stiffer not to noticable on standard suspension
