bobveedub 0
hi,is the counterweight on the gearbox meant to have a bit of play in it or is it meant to be rigid?cheers!
bobveedub 0
anyone?!
Phat VR6 3
is ment to be rigid to the part where it bolts on.. try tighening the 13mm nut ontop... but the hole tower wobbles around a bit. If that makes sence. If the counterweight is loose gear changes are a bit sloppy
DanH 1
yea that makes sense......wot he ^^ said! it should be tight on the rod going into box. the rod prob will twist to the left n right a bit, and deffo up and down lol. but shouldnt move left to right/back n forth....hard to explain init! Phat VR6 3
the nut is ment to be tight fella... sorry i have know idea why you can't get reverse.Put it into reverse... tighten shifter weight, then slacken shifter cables. let settle and tighten up again Might be your cables are slightly out of adjustment

Wideopentuning 0
It sounds like you have a bolt that is slightly too long holding the weight to the selector tower. The bolt will bottom out against the trans case when you try to select reverse.
