DirtyDash 0
I have had my VR6 for about 8 months and about 5 months ago the front windows and the leccy mirrors stopped working on my 3 door. When I push a button on my alarm the windows will work for about 30 seconds or so when driving then they stop working again. They were working and do work on the alram so obviously its not the regulators or wiring thats at fault maybe a fuse but which fuse is the windows one i have pulled out all the fuses and all were ok. I took the car off the road about 4 months ago and it was not an issue to me but I want to put her back on the road so want things to be spot on.Also FYI the doors lock when the ignition turns on some alarm thingy again and i need to puch the alarm button so i am able to pull the door pin up was wondering if someone can help me start looking in the right place.I know the heated mirrors still work since the problem occured so.or is there a replay for the the door electrics which maybe at fault and if so which one so i can check it out to. Hairyarse 0
Not too sure, but would guess if I understand right, after pressing the alarm button you can work the windows with the door switch for about 30 seconds? If that's case, can't be the door switch.Maybe it's purely a glitch with the alarm system? Have you got a key to disable the alarm? What happens if you do that?Andy
DirtyDash 0
All i know is it is a clifford concept 50x there is a pin code you input with a switch in the dash to put it in valet mode but since the alarm was fitted in 1999 and has had several owners since, well the car has had 3 owners in less than 1 year the alarm manual was missing hence no pin. since the car has not mot or tax i am not able to take it to my local clifford dealer although they were helpful if i can find the main brain unit i can give them the serial number and they will contact clifford for the pin if it has not been changed but again i have traced the cables for the alarm and not found the main unit. I did find the relays for the alarm which click on and off for the central locking part so will mess about monday to follow the miles of cables. its not an issue in the fact the windows can work just you have to fumble for the alarm fob

DirtyDash 0
Well I have found the main boxso will hopefull be able to speak to my clifford person monday rest of today is stripping the old paint off the alloys and sorting out the corrosion, they are taking a lot more work than i expected . the amount of time they are taking it maybe better to ship them out to someone else to do. Just the time vs life thingy that if i pay 45 a wheel and i get them back in 1 day but it takes me 2 days per wheel cost of my life is more than the cost to get someone else to do it if you understand but then there is the satisfaction of doing it myself.
