legvw 0
I got mine from the states, but that was when the exchange rate was begging to be taken advantage of!!! Mine are 83mm Woosner VR6 turbo jobies, light, not cast and have a thermal coating around them, under the rings. Well worth the money i thought
golfrabbit33 0
I got mine from the states' date=' but that was when the exchange rate was begging to be taken advantage of!!! Mine are 83mm Woosner VR6 turbo jobies, light, not cast and have a thermal coating around them, under the rings. Well worth the money i thought [/quote']that name keeps comming up when i read threads about vrt`s. i will check the $ rate and see what they are now. im sticking with original 81mm for strenght, im not doing this for more power just relliability,i can run 440bhp but unless your doing 100 plus it will spin so i use just 365 at mo,and thats more than enough unless you go your route, but without the skills you have ,the rest of us just have to admire what your doing and dream i have got to also check the cylinder to see if my cracked one scratched it and if so its serious money time again . what did you pay if you dont mind me asking
legvw 0
http://www.bildon.com/catalog/DetailsList.cfm?ID=9093DA&Nav=6&SubNav=62And i did buy them ages ago, i think it was near £500/£600, but can't remember mate!
golfrabbit33 0
$825 plus p+p with them being German,is there a good place in Germany to get them, and should be cheaper ?? plus quicker and cheaper postage. i went on their own site but not a lot works on there,so couldnt find a price. but after reading lots about woosner i def think they are the ones for my 12v turbo. legvw 0
Have you had a look on the german ebay?
golfrabbit33 0
yes i did, but only one person selling them, too big and 195 euros plus p+p each. im trying to get an english speaker at wossner in germany to get what i need
Nex 17
I would just drop them an email bud, most of the companies have english speaking people. It is a bit far from where l am at the moment in Germany to go see them, but if you have no luck getting an english speaker let me know and l can get your request translated into Germany for you, if that helps

VR6BOY 2
Try www.SPTurbo.com in the US they do JE custom pistons Before ordering pistons I would have the bores checked If there is excessive ware I would go for a rebore with 82mm forged pistons otherwise it could be a costly mistake
golfrabbit33 0
thanks mate, im having the engine out next week to check cylinders for damage before doing anything. but the standard pistons used at the moment are the only weak link left on the car, everything else has been done,so, touch wood, once the forged set go in i can go back to 440bhp without worry.
