andrew311 0
Hi all,This is my first post as I’m keen to find out what my Mk3 VR6 is worth. I’m looking to sell her to start a new project on a Mk1 GTI I’ve bought that needs allot of work. Car spec is bellow:97 P, Diamond Black, 85k (full service history)MOT June 10, Tax Oct 09,Cloth Recaro interior,Full s/s exhaust, K&N chipped, lowered,Twin head light conversionAfter market spoiler.Cat 1 full closure4 Tyres with less than 500 milesMechanically the car is perfect but I’d wouldn’t describe the bodywork as mint. It has a couple of parking scrapes to the front and rear bumpers, and the paint on the spoiler has flaked off in places. There is some small bubbling on around the driver side rear window. Car 3 owners-I’ve had it for 3 years and my brother had it for 7 before me.I’m finding it hard to price, I’ve only advertised it at work (around 10 thousand people Work there though) and had no interest at £2750. I’d really like 2.5k for it given I’ve spent about a grand on it in the last 12 months. Then again it’s only worth what someone will pay for it. I’m about to put her on the auto trader and various other places but want to get her sold to finance my new project. Apart from what I've stated the reason for sale is I've only done 3k miles in her in the last 2 years so can't justify the up-keep.Any help would be appreciated.Cheers
H13VYY 0
£2750 is abit steep imo. Is it a 3-door or 5 door?I was thinking more along the lines of 2k.
andrew311 0
It's a 3 door. Like I say I know it's only worth what someone will pay examples on AT with similar mileage are on for 3k+. I've got the classic problem of I like to sell things for as mcuh as possible and buy for as cheap as possible! was thinking of putting it on for £2350 with a view of selling for 2k?I didn't add that it has the original 15" BBS and has 17" BBS's on it these are only in fair condition though.I've been quoted £350 to fix the body work-do you reckon this may be money well spent and maybe get the wheels fixed and advertise as a mint example?
