The oil itself has no issues until about 120-130 depending upon which type of oil you run.That said When did you last change it? It tends to creep up as it gets old. So nice clean new oil tends to offer cooler temps.. Link to post Share on other sites

goonersteve 0 Posted July 30, 2009 Report Share Posted July 30, 2009 90-ish is about right as far as I was aware. I don't even drive it hard until it's at that temp. On some long motorway journeys when I am running along at a constant (*ahem!) 70mph as well as accelerating hard-ish out of roundabouts, my oil temp goes up to around the 100 - 105 mark.
