cabrioman 6 Posted February 19, 2012 Author Report Share Posted February 19, 2012 well got the engine stripped down quite a few faults :-number 5 cylinder full of oil ..damage to crank shaft ....crank main bearings scored and started to pick up ..also found slight damage to top of pistons from hitting valves !!!!some slight damage to valves ...so need to replace the valves, valve seats, skim the head, re-bore the block to take bigger pistons, get the crank re-ground and over sized bearings, also going to HD valve springs and retainers .... so should be as new a possible and super strong .... fingers crossed .... cabrioman 6 Posted March 3, 2012 Author Report Share Posted March 3, 2012 got a bit more done today took a leaf out the red-neck book of weight shifting ...started like this ... then this happened ....and then this to the doors ....and this is what was removed ..... lots of wiring gone .... front door looms, tail gate loom, central looking system and loom, interior lights and loom all that is left is the engine loom and lighting loom ....few bits or metal and frame work gone, insides of front doors and large dash brace ....
