scottydog137 0
I have just bought a 1996 VW golf vr6 highline, and loving it!!!Only problem is i have an intermittant starting fault with it, i turn the ignition on and have no dash lights, turns over but won't start. i have ruled out the standard and clifford immobilisor, and i have also ruled out the ignition barrel. checking the electrics i have no power to fuses 14-16+18 (i think) which relate to dash lights -engine managment and fuel pump. if i manualy power up fuse 14 (dash warning lights) it fires up no problem at all and drives.but cuts out as soon as i cut the power. the only solution is to leave it 45 minutes and then try again and it miraculously cures itself. any help would be appreciated. scottydog137 0
I ruled out the immobiliser and relays by bypassing them but still nothing - was wondering if it could be a fuse box fault? are they known to go?
