porsche are terrible

my dad was out in his boxster yesterday which is only 4 years old and done 8k miles when his engine broke which may result in the whole engine needing to be replaced. after a little bit of research we found out that 25% of all porsche engines break within 5 years. how bad is this for reliablilty! i think its a joke. any way this will b interesting as at the moment we are trying to find out where we stand as its only ever been serviced by porsche and has done no miles at all really.

it depends what you mean by broke? do you mean terminal problems like a snapped timing chain or tupid little things like a duff sensor?

Update the whole big end including the shells have broke destroying the engine as its a major fault hopefully porsche will pay out as its done so few miles
