cliveyp 0 Posted November 25, 2004 Report Share Posted November 25, 2004 i flipped the MFA on the first MK2 8V to diagnostic mode the once (some sequence of positions 1 & 2, holding in the button and starting the engine. Can't remember exactly how now) and booted it from a junction in the first 3 gears and saw a lowest of 4.8mpg real time!! ha ha!!Under normal mode, i've seen a low of about 14 when i'm giving it some over a distance. nickg123 0 Posted November 25, 2004 Report Share Posted November 25, 2004 23m/pg is the lowest i've seen so far on my car, and that was after sitting in loads of traffic on my way to work!So far i'd say it's been better then i expected, but i have tried to be careful to save as much on fuel as possible etc....
