Very unexpected way to spend the day. Frazzled though.

Some nice machines, most of which Jim at least matched.

The red viper won the teminal speed award, the tiniest smidge under 200mph

on one run he was only 3s behind at the end of the mile.

Jim will ppst the times up one he can get them from the organisers. but generally he had a great time. jake didn't fair as well getiing the 34 or summit time as in the pic whilst blowing some thing or things. thing or things big and internal :-(

Final speed 55mph on the back of a recovery truck. Oooops. :$

Which did leave Jim short of combatants as nobody wanted to race him!

yep amg mercs... pah .. id take it back to the garage and part x it.

i had a great day, and tbh i think the car did very well, standing mile was 32.3 and a 13.2 quarter.. my slips prove that once im over the quarter, the car is devastatingly quick.

yep car showed off the clock at 160, but i think the speedo stops shortly after as it looked like 162 ish, but the rev counter still went up.. confirmed on gps timing as 157.7

so im happy with that. i may have gone quicker but i wont no until there times are up on the webby.. i think last run agaisnt the v8 rx7 , was quick , as i was clear of him by aound 2 secs at the mile point

Hi all.. back now :)

Well done Jim for holding the flag..

TG was wrong.. it was 55 on 1st recovery truck and 70 on second ;)

BUT all importantly.,. 12.69 1/4 mile PB & 34 second mile.. now the terminal speed... 94mph! get that..? pretty gutted i got 1/2 a run but shi7 happens dont it!

car back to storm tomorrow and well see if it can be rebuilt and run in by the weekend :-#

Melted 2.5 plugs and possible piston damage (thats just an observation without strippin the head)

Big thanks to Jim (for humoring me), Bungy for the companionship, Roger for towing me out and use of tools, Tony for just being Tony, and Nigel for the support ;) It was also good to meet Jims brother in law..

Oh and a very very very nice man with a yellow van.. que trailor for the next meet ;)

sounded like a hell of a day wish id been there

gutted for jake were you running the really small pulley? melted piston normally means running lean doesnt it?

could i be cheaky and ask you to keep me informed on what happened/why it happened i wanna go that route when mines done but obviously dont want it to lunch itself
