spindat45 0
I saw this dodgy character lurking around the car last night!weirdo He looks strangely familiar but with less hair than the guy I was thinking of so can't be him. I'd beef up the security on your garage with folks like that hanging about mate :-p Looking forward to seeiing how this progresses Pete. I'd recommend the lightened flywheel btw. Mine seems to rev a lot more freely below 3500 rpm since doing that and the head work. Or maybe it's my lead boots?
VR6Pete 1,455
oh yes, I've had several trips to the hair dressers to have it whipped off I'm waitin to hear back from schimmel, I think I might as well get it while the gearbox is out.
spindat45 0
Oh right. I thought you meant have your one or a spare lightened. How much are the Schimmel ones? I've heard good things about them. I think I paid JP about £80 to do mine and it's not been overdone as there's no judder..
VR6Pete 1,455
about 180 quid without postage + import tax, they weigh 9 lbs Schimmel seem to do alot of good stuff Pete
sacvwgolf 0
Pete, if the postage and import tax is expensive maybe its worth going to Strictly Dubs. They are UK distributors for schimmel performance or so they say on their website:http://www.strictlydubs.com/
DanH 1
looking good! quick question tho.......wots the benefit of swapping to ob2?
cabrioman 6
later managment on the obd2 is better. the obd1s had 170 bhp and the obd2`s had 180 bhp or around them numbers if im correct ??? so best of both worlds 2.9 lump with later better managment c00k

VR6Pete 1,455
Yesterday Tony was kind enough to drop a battery and inlet manifold off from Mark_H.I thought what the hell, an plugged the battery in, see what electrics work.Mirrors OKSunroof Tilt and Slide OKRear Spoiler OKAll interior lights OKMFA OKI plugged the engine loom back in, hoping I'd get the engine turning over the starter motor, but I got nothing.... Not sure if battery had enough juice in, or the Clifford concept 650 mk2 is causing some issues, although there may further wires ive not connected back up.I'll investigate further at the weekend, Although was over the moon all electrics in the car are working ok! just a little dissapointed that couldnt get the engine turn over off the starter motor.BRING IT ON!Pete
