dub_weiser 0
BMC CDA is always a popular choice amongst peeps althou a lil pricey. Ram is another which others will tell you gives off quite a noise.
VR6Pete 1,455
BMC CDA all the way, around 160 notes from stealth...
Nerih 0
is drilling the wing side of the airbox a good idea?
tommy 0
Ive tried a couple of filters on my vr.....i still think one of the best would be ducting into the wing with a cone filter on the end(lots of cold air)...somthing minty used to have with very good results but saying all that,... i now have a bmc kit and am very very pleased with it ..........if its noise your after then get a super ram air as its unbeatable...i know i had one [ Edited Thu Nov 25 2004, 10:59PM ][ Edited Thu Nov 25 2004, 11:00PM ]
scott8629 0
Well I would like a peformance increase, but I would also make my VR sound better, does the BMC CDA do this? Are they a pain to fit?Scott
Slim 0
I've got a RamAir ProRam, the cone is bigger than my head and sounds awesome. I went for that over the BMC as it's around £60 cheaper for pretty much the same power gains.

binliner 0
on the rr the bmc being heat shielded doesnt make any difference as the bonnets up and the fan is on but on the road it should help with performance... tbh I doubt theres much to be gained in terms of power from any of them
dub_weiser 0
A recent airfilter test in Redline found that the BMC gave the highest performance gains on the rollers. Think the gain was bout 11.6 bhp.
