dubloke 4
so, here's the mindfuck! went to change temp sender yesterday, checked the new one before removal by plugging in and putting in boiling water temp gauge goes up to 78, thats good, must be sender thats foobar, so change it! go for long-ish run out, 5o miles, temp gauge hardly moves again, eventually gets up to just over 70 on the motorway(oil temp at 92) then goes down to around 40-50 when coming back on b-roads! heater blowing out nice warm air, is there any mileage in changing thermostat?, would a dodgy thermo not let much water past to the temp sender? if so why is air hot?? really bugging me now, anyone be of help???? !amazed
Andy B 0
the thermostat can stick open or shut, therefore restricting the water past. you can take it out and check it by doing the same as temp sender..not much help but at least it would rule out thermostat

Its got climate control no twisty nobber jobs just buttons. I tried driving with the heater off but temp only rose to 70. Any help much appreciated.
