Jazz Blue V6 4 Motion - How much?

Recommended Posts

My mate will be along shortly to introduce himself but I thought I'd post a few pics of his new purchase. It's a Y registered V6 4 Motion with the beige leather interior, 80k, MOT til August 2010, loads of receipts and service history, brand new MKV R32 rims (replicas I think) and tyres. A real impulse buy but after taking it for a drive and me giving it a once over, he shook hands with the seller at, wait for it.......

£2500 :o

He owned a DC5 Integra Type R before and had no intention of ever buying a Golf. He was very close to buying an S3 recently but couldn't find one with all the bells and whistles at the right price.

During the test drive I got him to launch it a few times to see if the haldex was working, and that was it. Now all I have to do is try and get that cheesy grin off his face ^o)

CORRECTION : £2000 :o:o :O

Looks nice part from the rear lights makes me realise how gd mine was as there the same age nd mines only don't 34k tell ur m8 the colour is well nice

I know what you mean about the rear lights. I think he'll change them. The colour put him off at first but he's loving it now as you don't see many 4 Mo's let alone Jazz blue ones.

Many thanks Spindat-Dub, for introducing me to the wonderful world of the DUB, A golf was the last thing on my mind but as soon as I saw this motor, it was love at first sight. I wasn't even in the market for buying a car but this was a steel at £2000. Just looked at the prices on ebay and started to feel bad for the fella I bought it off. Never having launched a car before I was in for a surprise and nearly wet my pants, bloody amazing !!

My only problem is that the insurance companies are closed for the weekend so I'm having to start the engine, revving it slightly and pretending to drive. Brum Bruuuuummmmm

(Pissed).

Talking about insurance, got quoted £5050 today. I had to laugh and ask the guy if he was smoking wacky tabacky. I'm a 34 year old Driving Instructor for 10 years might I add. What the hell!!!!!

I'm now awaiting a quote from Greenlight Insurance.

Has anyone used them?

He got an exceptionally good deal on this car imo. Thats why I told him to snap it up. A case of right place, right time. Most if not all that we've seen for sale since are still around £3500 - £4500 depending on age milage and condition. Prices have dropped a lot in the last 12 months but I don't think the price he paid is an accurate representation of by how much.

Having never driven a V6 4 Motion, I drove this car last night and was pleasantly suprised at how respnsive and how much low down torque it had. Standard suspension could do with being a bit stiffer but that's to be expected. For quite a heavy N/A car it's no slouch.
