jims13 6 Posted September 16, 2009 Report Share Posted September 16, 2009 well, nothing like mine in the last couple of weeks... and it continuing on holiday.wer staying in hayle, near penzance/newquay. so driving to the seal sanctury the other day, and happen to come upon a massive boulder in the road... smash, straight into it.. a massive amount of smoke ensues, and then as we are in a blind dip, in the middle of nowwhere i have no choice but to drive to the nearest place i can find thats safe to stop. well i get there , and then ring the rac which i have via barclays.. i broke down at 1030, to cut it short i got recovered at 1730 that day.. but in between, a few other things happend.. a police motorcyclist was riding along said road, and just happened to drop his bike on the oil that i had left, so at approx 1230 whilst still waiting for a patrolman, i happened to see a police car looking at the oil , and then at me.. we had a chat , he took my details and i passed on my apologise' to the motorcycle copper, who thank god was ok.. luckily they both agreed that had i stopped where i hit hadrians wall, then it would have caused a multiple rta.anways they left , and then i sat there for another 5 hours waiting for the rac to sort the shite out.. vehicle goes on recovery truck, and i go and have a nice guiness or three that night, i wake up today to a phone call from the recovery firm , who have managed to put a great big dent in lisa's rear quarter panel... wtf..so ive spent two days of my hols, running round getting hire cars , returning them , and still trying to have anice time..the only good news is, is the garage that damaged the car is going to repair it, and i managed to get a free hire car out of them , and they still have to get it back to essex, so i can fix the sump.roll on good times Link to post Share on other sites
