Miss-Vw 2
Had a bit of bad luck with my boyfriends mk3 golf 1.4 :STurns out it needs a new wiring loom and all new wiring in the engine bay, due to the new ignition barrel not being terminated properly. All the wire is basically frazzled, does anyone knows how much this is going to cost?My mechanic said its a big job and would probably take 1-2 days to do! Any ideas on pricing? VR6Pete 1,455
Has you mechanic given you a price?Thats what it hinges on! you could probably pick up a new mk3 1.4 for about 500 quid now, surely?
Miss-Vw 2
No my mechanic has admitted he doesnt know much about electrics so if we are going to fix it, we want it to go to an auto electrician who actually knows what he's doing. This 1.4 has a bit of a sentimental value lol so we dont really want to scrap it!
