Heardy 0
'm going to get some new plug' leads tommorow ( hopefully to cure the slight missfire on tickover) can someone tell me who make's the originals is it Beru or some one else?
mightyvr6 0
Beru are the oe leads and are red, costing about £120. I think VW/GSF do a cheaper set for about £60. There are other alternatives like blue igniters and magnecor for around £80.
mk3anni 0
£120!!!!!!Bloody hell.
bazz780 0
please dont buy the cheapie ones they are a paint to fit !!! i changed the set and bought it from euro car parts in an emergency (black ones) whilst fitting it was soo hard that one of them got damaged, went to vw for a single lead (red one) 20 quid but it fitted soo much easier slightly longer end bit and metal case not rubber!!! binliner 0
Magnecore are a lot more than £80 for a VR (but still slightly cheaper than VW)
acf8181 0
i recommend the vw red leads...the quality is a million times better than any other lead i've seen. magnecor's or similar are fatter leads and wo't fit into the lead guides without getting damaged. mightyvr6 0
I got mine for £85 2 years ago from awesome but they have gone up in price since then. Still cheaper than VW though.
Heardy 0
Just to let you know i've fitted them today and they are exactly the same as the original's (which are also made by Bremi ) so i hope they last as long as the original's.I paid £35+vat because i'm in the motor trade, they should be £51+vat.....Bargain
VR6Rich 3
Are the Bremi's the red ones?Any chance of sorting a group buy at your trade price? :-)[ Edited Sat Dec 04 2004, 09:38AM ]
Heardy 0
Are the Bremi's the red ones?Any chance of sorting a group buy at your trade price? :-)They are Black the same as the one's i've just taken off.To be honest i think they just did them at that price because there trying to get more Bussines of us as we tend to use GSF more..Even so i don't think £51 + vat is a bad price you can allway's ask them if they will do them at a better price ,just tell them that GSF do them cheaper and see if they will beat it
