VR6's with plastic arch trims

Recommended Posts

Are these clipped on or bonded on?

With the impending buy of a VR coming up im trying to set up a game plan on styling and stuff.

Im a trained panel beater so can smooth the bumpers and stuff myself but jsut need a bodyshop to spray them, how much does the painting normally cost?

i had my dragon green 16vs arches sprayed professionally, and they are clipped on the inner lip with rivets, although vw did use plastic clips of there own, the rub strips on the doors are clipped on with plastic pegs, becareful taking these off as they break easy!

Just be carful.

1) the paint may have faded somewhat on the body - so when you take the arches off, they appear a different shade.

2) check for rust under the plastic trims - water collections behind the trims....

bare in mind, that if the older one suffers with any of the above, you will be paying out more in the long run and getting things resprayed :)

aye i know, its the catch 22 of my financial situation though, at the moment i can only afford to save 100quid a month until the ibiza go back,

but i need a car quick cus it goes soon-ish

once its gone ill have nearly 400quid a month spare!!

if i had that money spare now id save up for a mint mint highline, but alas that aint gunna happen!!! ill make do with what ever i get, i guess the more work means a more satisfied feeling when its done.
