Ben Seabrook 4
yeah as Tony says would be interesting to see someone buy one of these and have a go at making it fit lots of talk about them but dont think anyone has had a go
rodney 17
Double check it is a RHD kit before you get it though..
FishWick 21
Yeah as has been said before, the 2 important parts to note are 1) it's based around a clone of the ATP manifold, which is for LHD cars and 2) the turbo is small and won't sustain the top end.As for the rest of it, who knows. Looks like a bunch of generic bits and bobs of not great quality. In a nutshell - Buy it and see. It's a cheap punt onto the turbo ladder isn't it?1) Isn't that much of an issue though to be honest. The DIY turbo guide uses an ATP manifold and shows you how to over come the brake fluid pot clearance issues :-)
jims13 6
i now a man , who will be buying one of these.. ill report back when its on.
FishWick 21
Cool, looking forward to the results.
MikeJVV 0
After looking at the feedback of the seller, as its a buy it now or best offer, someone offered £550 for the kit recently and it was accepted. If they can accept £550 and still make a profit, then the kit really must be poor i would presume?
FishWick 21
Yep and I wouldn't really class it as a 'kit' really as it will still need a certain amount of custom work!
kcw 1
I like how the seller bribes you into leaving positive feedback by offering you a free 'tuning' chip lolOn another note you could buy that 'kit' flog the turbo to somebody buy a decent one, relocate your brake reservoir n keep the mani or make a Y peice to go from you stock exhaust manifolds to turbo flange.Did someone on here not buy that vr6 turbo that was going cheap on ebay with a similar kit. MikeJVV 0
Im converting a mk3 8v to a VR6-T.And after weighing up the pros and cons, the kit surely isnt worth it for the money.
