MikeJVV 0 Posted October 26, 2009 Report Share Posted October 26, 2009 I want to purchase a spacer gasket from C2 to fit to my VR engine, with the route of turbo'ing the engine along with buying some other bits from them, arp bolts etc.But which one is the best to go for? 9:1 or 8.5:1? I plan to run low ish boost 6-8psi so which gasket would i be best of buying?CheersMike Link to post Share on other sites

UnitedMotorsport 55 Posted October 26, 2009 Report Share Posted October 26, 2009 If your planning to never go above 8psi then the 9:1 spacer is for you. If you plan to go higher boost in the future the 8.5:1 is best. Link to post Share on other sites
FishWick 21 Posted October 26, 2009 Report Share Posted October 26, 2009 And turbo users seldom stick to their planned maximum boost :-)Personally I would go 8.5:1 anyway because when you start inevitably messing with boost controllers, it's easy to run into over boost. An accidental spike of 15psi if you're setup for half that can cause some damage. Link to post Share on other sites
