Alloy Wheel and tyre upade...help required

Hi there. I am about to put my 1996 Vr6 Highline through its MOT and need to replace the tyres and thought I would change the generic looking 15" alloys whi;st I am at it.

Could you guys give me some suggestions as to the following:-

1. I am after big spoke wheels rather than loads as they look better (I think) and are easier to clean. Would I be able to get a set of wheels and tyres (17") for around £400 or is this being ambitious.

2. Where are the best places to go?

3. Is Halfrauds a waste of time?

i would say halfords is a waste of time. Rim style is a good website. 400 quid is ambitious but may be possible, but you do get what you pay for to be honest so might be worth saving a couple of hundred more. Or find a style you like on rim style then hunt for them second hand on ebay or something. There's millions of wheels out there and its all down to what you like, so its just a case of get lookin and something will come up. :)

With that sort of money for a decent set of rims with tyres you want to be looking on ebay and the classifieds on here.

My car isn't lowered or anything like that...just totally standard apart form the crazy stereo I installed 6 months ago!
