russj249 2
Right, bit of a strange one this.If I park my car on the carpark at work (facing down a hill that isn't too steep) the car takes a good 4 or 5 seconds to start and runs lumpy for a few seconds after it starts. Also sometimes does it facing uphill in the same parking space. This is the only time it does it. On the flat is fine, or a kurb either side is fine. Could there air be getting into the fuel rail or something? And number 2 problem. Was driving to college couple of weeks ago and come upto a junction and the ABS cut in. I put it on VAG-COM when I got home and it says something about O/S/F wheel speed sensor intermittent.I've had a look at the ring at work and no teeth missing. Now the ABS light is on and the traction control and ABS don't work. When on measuring blocks on VAG-COM the wheel speed was pretty much identical to the other 3. Is this common sign to say the sensors packed up, or could it just be the air gap if rust has built up between sensor and hub?
MikeJVV 0
Its the sensor gone for your abs problem. In the past 2 years i have replaced all of mine twice nearly. Unfortunatly they do break fairly easy. Its a really easy job to remove them. There is a guide here:http://www.golfgtiforum.co.uk/index.php?topic=57396.
