rusty dan 1
Peeps, Coolant has been dripping out of the header tank breather under the black cap that sits at the right of it.I recently replaced the header tank cap or a G&S one, not sure i this is just coincidential. The coolant will pump out in spurts after the engine has been running a short while above tick over.It seems to go through a headers worth in a few days.Looked about and people have said it might be the cap o ring seal not sitting properly on the tank. This is weird as my 2.0 8v has the same set up tank and does not leak with no o ring lolOthers have said water pump but im just wondering why that would effect it?ThanksRuss

BADOIR 2
I'd try the header tank gasket first off, only aroud a fiver, better than pumps and stats, in case it aint that,
rusty dan 1
running normal which is weird, I can fill the water tank, drive for a few hours turn off and repeat for a day then perhaps the third day the coolant light will come on.I was puzzled for about a week then I saw it was leaking from under the black cover to the side of the tank.I have checked for air in the system and it appears ok as the car runs fine, fan cuts in and out too..It gets me back to thinking about replacing the entire tank and capcheers
