Seademon 0
Hi guys! My car has a misfire between 2-3k Rpm and when I turn right for some reason if Im accelerating around roundabouts etc - Its really annoying on motorways because if Im cruising in any gear between 2-3k Rpm the car starts juddering and I lose power - I have to take it out of gear, rev it and then its ok & it might not happen for a while. It sounds like its something silly & electrical! Coil pack?I posted this in another post by mistake yesterday :@
andy 0
I'd give your ignition system the once over if I were you mate. Check you haven't got a lead loose on one of the plugs.
Seademon 0
Cheers Andy - its been doing it before & after a lead & plug change though
mightyvr6 0
could be the cam semsor of maf. Best to check the basics then get it plugged in to vag-com.
acf8181 0
could be MAF, or hall sender, or coilpack...as mr. mightyvr6 says best to get the fault codes checked.
FishWick 21
Mine does that also, well, more of a hunting than misfire actually but at those revs and annoying none the less....it's done it for 2 years and replacing the MAF (3 times), Plugs (4 times), Leads (3 times), coilpack (twice), ECU, Cam sensor (twice), crank sensor, throttle sensor and fuel pump hasn't solved it. The only thing I haven't tried is new injectors. They might be lazy at that particular open time, but are fine at idle and WOT.

B4 you change anything else, I would get the fuel pressure checked by a VW specialist. They can easily confirm you have good fuel pressure throughout the system before you waist time changing injectors.

If you start having poor fuel supply , due to vapour locks or filtration, the engine could start juddering due to intermittent fuel supply. Not a lot of help but something else to check.!!!!!
