5kipvr6 0
yeh they do, cheers man, they look good :-)
VR6Nat 9
yeah i thought so, as i said ive not seen their work for myself and it is a risk you have to take that your paint might crack, esp if its not original paint, but as long as u have that in the back of your mind it's ok. I will prob use them soon so if you use them before let us know what they are like? thanks..
5kipvr6 0
will do, if i use them. just read the terms . bit scary isnt it lol. especially now ive had my rear arches pulled allready. might give em a call to ava chat and see what there sayin first. VR6Nat 9
Yeah it is a propa scary thing cuz it not an easy fix if it does go tits up... but i think ive got enough courage to give it a go now. lol. i still might bottle it yet!! hahaha. Im surprised they only pulled the arches and didnt roll them at the same time, normally rolling them gives them a slight pull anyway.... odd!! lol
5kipvr6 0
they have been rolled a bit at the rear but not enough, im running 17"x10" wide wheels and im quite low now, but it rubs when i corner fast and things like that and you can never go to low lol
Jonnyboy82 0
No no no no no, Ive heard bad things about these people please no. One of the forum members off here went there and had a serious bodge job done.
VR6Nat 9
Really?!! oh dear!! :(
jesterwalker69 0
No no no no no' date=' Ive heard bad things about these people please no. One of the forum members off here went there and had a serious bodge job done.[/quote']What area were they from? The company use agents so the guys doing the rolling aren't actually employed by the company. Therefore the person undertaking the job only has to work to his own idea of quality etc.Would be a bit unfair to judge the whole company on one lazy f*cker from one area
5kipvr6 0
thanks for letting me know jon, i was just starting to think that as im reading there terms. they just dont seem right and ive been speaking to the guy from there and he just seems really eager to do it even though im saying im not sure what to do, like he needs the work or sumthing. he's basically saying yeah lets just do it even though your arch's are going to crack and it may split your bumpers "its fine" ??????? dont think i will be using this company. any one reccomend any other companys??
VR6Nat 9
Yeah see thats weird cuz the guy from my area was well booked up but seemed really helpful and confident it would be ok if my paint was original etc.... also offered a good discount to do 2 or 3 together....But im of the view that the company should keep a good eye on their employees and make sure they're up to a suitable standard. It only takes one individual to ruin a reputation as they are there to represent the company as a whole and i wont be risking going with them.

It only takes one individual to ruin a reputation as they are there to represent the company as a whole and i wont be risking going with them. Its a bit like GAP Security. They use agents to install alarms all over the country. The agents are self employed so aren't employees. They get paid per install so basically the faster they work in a day the more installs they complete = a higher pay packet.I heard A LOT of sh*t about GAP's quality of work on various forums. I rang GAP and made general enquiries about complaints etc. Basically because the agents are self employed its harder to monitor the performance. The guy could be grand to start off with then as times get hard his work ethic/performance might slip. Should they receive a complaint/number of complaints about a particular agent they then resource another agent and get rid of the sh*te one. But this can only happen if ppl complain about the person as the company obviously cant review each job before handback to the customer. So when you read/hear about some shoddy work (and bear in mind bad news is always guaranteed to spread further than good) you shouldn't take it as an example of the company. Reason being who's to say that that particular agent hasn't now been given the hammer and replaced by someone far better? Which probably explains why one person gets some bloke who seems more concerned about getting some work in and someone else gets someone who cares about the work he does get.In the end I got GAP to install my alarm and the agent did a grand job. Fair enough he dropped a tiny bit of solder onto my everyday mats but when I rang up to complain it was the agent who sent out a cheque to me to pay for a set of new mats! And they stipulated the same sort of clause: should anything go wrong during the installation that wasn't directly the agents fault, they wouldn't pay for it.
VR6Nat 9
thanks for the story ollie but not needed, its each to their own, 5kipvr6 and i have both stated we wont be using them already... plenty more people out there so not point risking it.
Jonnyboy82 0
I understand what your saying too olly im just passing on my advice from a fellow vr6 owner, i cannot speak from experience but i can tell you i saw the work they done and lets just say they definately live up to their name. The work was shocking.Like you say it may well be a different man to do the job but what if its not. Would you take the risk?

theblueflash 0
just seen this thread. i know its old and i hope whoever was asking didnt go through with it. dont know of any other specific companies who do the job. competant bodyshop maybe but for god sakes DONT use arch enemy. they are as stated self employed as such representatives of the company who tell you to check this and check that. if something isnt right or they cant do the job for whatever reason they still charge you a £40 call out fee!!!!friend has had his done and they cut an inch of his arch lining out to 'aid' clearance!!! they stoved his floor pan in jacking the car up and wouldnt take responsibility for it!!!! and they left behind three proud dents where 'supposedly' the arch lining bolts to. 'these are weak points and can cause imperfections in the arch when rolling' was the excuse. no warning before the job started mind. sorry for the rant. but to anyone who reads this thread thinking of using them, you have been warned. just hope you get a good representative. finny 0
You can hire these arch rolling/ puller devices from eBay for about £55 over a weekend. They say heat the paint to avoid cracking.I would have a go doing this myself, if I needed the arches rolling.
