MrsC 0
yeah but his look dead dirty
stu h 0
they are crap considering it was a top of the range car!i want some new ones.[ Edited Thu Dec 09 2004, 02:22PM ]
chrisgbrindley 0
I have those ones! His are well faded though. You could have blue, black or leather seats in a VR when they first came out.
nickg123 0
Why is £4k such a rip off??Surely a modded VR6 with 79k miles is worth that money?!??
MrsC 0
not with those faded seats
nickg123 0
lol - can't really see Seats being a big factor!I paid £3700 for my standard car with 80k, it was a 1997 3 door black but i think £4k for his car sounds quite realistic personally (even with the seats ;-) )
MrsC 0
you dont want to sit in a car with rubbish seats do ya....really!!!
stu h 0
i paid a hell of a lot less than than for my car. its got 78k, 3 doors, good colour, and mines a year younger and is totally standard.have seen highlines for little more than that with reasonable mileage. nickg123 0
I suppose the Age is stacked up against it......... but it's clearly had a lot spent - i reckon someone will like it!
stu h 0
wonder why its needed a timing chain tho?? slightly dodgy.just thought it was a bit steep considering the competition.(and that front bumper looks pants in my opinion !ill )
nickg123 0
lol i definitely agree about the Bumper!!I was expecting to see a price of £6k that's all, i personally didn't think it was that bad for the money........ but i guess we all have our opinions lol
stu h 0
agreed
acf8181 0
its not horrificly overpriced.prob is its a '92...and mods don't add anything to the price (particularly front bumpers like that)...i'd say £2500 is a fair price.i didn't buy a decent vr6 cause of it having blue seats when i was looking for mine. the seats are easy enough to swap but its the dash thats a PITA to change. acf8181 0
wonder why its needed a timing chain tho?? slightly dodgy.its an obd1 so prob was starting to wear the top runner and he did it to be safe.its a good thing that its been done, should have gone a bit longer. as long as the service history is up to date, and proves the mileage i don't think its that bad. MrBen 0
That's a silly price IMHO. I paid less than his buy it now price for mine - Black 3dr 97 P plate, 70,000 miles, and loads of mods including Schrick manifold... Ok it needs a bit of work and the wheels are ming, but so are his!!
VR6Pete 1,455
I had my VR last year on 68k on the clock and in totally mint condition with loads of extra's thrown in. cost me 6.8k then.... 1997 plate also
acf8181 0
mine cost £3k just over 18 months ago, from a decent trader with years warranty...sadly the car didn't start breaking till after that warranty had expired.
Nerih 0
i paid 4500 for my 69000 highline, as standard, so i dont know why this is a rip off...witht hose allys, lowered and the bumpers and it looks clean. Its a llttle too slammed tho ...just imo.i think 4500 in july was okay for a mint highline...which ive promptly scracteed and dented .[ Edited Fri Dec 10 2004, 07:37AM ]
Eat this 2
i paid £5k for my highline with 61k 10 months ago i took a chance with service history but it paid off
stu h 0
wait for it .........i only paid £1550 for mine 8) she needs a tiny bit of tidying, but its only simple bits of trim, needed a new mirror housing (done) and the oe shitty wheels were badly peeling but they're hopefully goin soonSo for about £1800 i'll have a tidy low mileage
acf8181 0
witht hose allys' date=' lowered and the bumpers i think 4500 in july was okay for a mint highline...which ive promptly scracteed and dented .[/quote']mods add zilch on resale, and can make it harder to sell the car. most people want standard cars, so always best to put it back to almost standard for resale.highlines do cost a premium, something from £500-1000 i reckon. yours is about 5 years newer, and higher spec. again, its not horrifically overpriced, just £500-1000...we've seen a lot worse on ebay! lol
