Hi,

after much fannying about (new water pump, new thermostat, new hose coz it split,)! I think that the head gasket has gone and is pressusising the water system. I think?? On checking the compression I'm, getting 10 bar off most the cylinders, 8 off one, 7 off another!?

I'm going to bite the bullet and change the head gasket. I have read that it is good to use a mk4 gasket, it being metal and not composit.

Is that a good plan?

Is there a 'how to' on the gasket swap?
