spreadz07 0
Hi GuysI have recently bought a K&N filter from Fleabay and now its arrived Im not sure if its for a VR when it said it was.I have downloaded the fitting instructions from herehttp://www.filterpower.co.uk/kn_induction/files/57-0073-1.pdfand it is completely different to the one I have.I have attatched a few pics and would appriciate any help. Also do I need anything else to fit it or will it bolt straight on, providing it is the right one I need. Thanks guysNige
Kelster 0
That doesn't look like a VR one as it has an oil breather pipe on it. The oil breather on the VR is nearer the TB intake so I reckon this will not bolt on. You could probably block up the oil breather pipe, plug up that hole where there is a plug in the bottom picture and attach it to where the OEM filter air box is. But I would probably send it back and get the correct one.
CALICO 130
looks like its been modified i dont think any K&N's come with sensors or sensor holes!

spreadz07 0
Thanks for your answers so far guys I have been back in contact with the seller and they have said it was fitted inside the original air box and cable tied??? So seems to me that it's not actually a golf one after all. Soooo I have 2 choices, stick it back on fleabayortry and make it fit? What do you guys think as like said above, a filter is a filter right? Thanks againNige
