Peterandthevr6 0 Posted January 11, 2010 Report Share Posted January 11, 2010 hi all fitted a miltek exhaust system to my vr today its a cat back system with twin pipes just wanna know how far the pipes normaly stick out past the bumper im not sure if it looks right to be honest . so my question is how far is normal for them to stick past the rear valance ? mine is a 3 door if it makes any difference Peter Link to post Share on other sites

b19drg 0 Posted January 11, 2010 Report Share Posted January 11, 2010 I got the same problem i have just fitted a cat back system to my 3 door and it sticks out further than i want , i ight get my guy to have a look and see if he can put it back in i would prefer it to be a bit closer to the bumper Link to post Share on other sites

[/quote']im getting abit of a knock myself took it out tonight and when i let off the gas slowing down you get a rattle like its touching the heat shield under the boot floor .will have a look under it at work tomorrow and will take some pictures does sound great tho Link to post Share on other sites

Thanks, thinking about getting one myself.[/quote']finny i brought mine off ebay was second hand and had only done a few thousand miles still very shiny . it is easy to fit if you get the car high enough of the ground but recommend a ramp . biggest benifit i have found was it weighs a third of the original exhaust Link to post Share on other sites
