nickg123 0
Last night i drove from my House in Cold Ash Village (near Thatcham) to Basingstoke with my Mum to pick up a few bits my mate has got my Dad for Christmas (He works for Taylor Made).Anyway, on the way back, just before i get near Newbury i see a Mk2 Golf GTi, and a Jetta GTI (With a VR6 Badge stuck on below it - NICE!)They were parked up by the side of the road talking, i drove past and there was a car in front of me.Without me knowing they obviously spotted me as less then a minute later i get two distinctive round lights sitting right on my rear Bumper. My Mum starts to get a bit worried as she hates people driving dangerously and this road is really bad, it's Dark, Wet and quite twisty etcAnyway, the Mk2 Golf is sat right on my arse, half out as if he's going to overtake - i can't exactly do anything with my Mum there and to be honest probably wouldn't anyway due to the conditions and the type of road it was on.... He sat there for about 30 seconds before overtaking on a really stupid bit of road.Next up is the Jetta, again right on my arse - i'm doing around 45/50 and he decides to also overtake on another stupid bit of road (Again endangering our lives, plus anyone that could be coming the other way) - his passenger decides to wave his arm out the window as he's going by thinking he's so Clever!!I didn't rise to it at all so i'm quite proud of myself........ but then two mins down the road at the Level crossing - guess what? Yep, there's a train coming so both the Golf and Jetta had to stop in front of me. The Jetta driver got out to speak to his mate in the Mk2, so i also opened my door to simply ask what the hell all that was about?Maybe i should have kept quiet but these DICK heads really piss me off - he said he thought i was up for a race and that a VR6 should be capable of it.I told him what i thought of his driving, and explained i have nothing to prove to either a Mk2 GTi or a Jetta Gti (with a stick on VR6 badge).I honestly didn't think this car would attract this sort of attention - i can't believe what idiots there are around these days, it won't be long before they end up dead - you can just see it coming!Sorry for the essay, it just surprised me to be honest, but i think i did the right thing to ignore them, my Mum was really pi$$ed off too!Makes me laugh though, i never got this sort of thing in my Evo or M3! VRVIRGIN 0
I get that all the time too nickg123. Especially since í have british plates. They see a young bloke in a fast car and they immediately think that i´m out to prove something. Must admit though, it really winds me up and I bite easily. Sometimes laeving them behind, somtimes just letting them past when it gets a bit stupid. Wish I was more like you, could save myself alot of petrol. He!

nickg123 0
Mine doesn't have any badges either, except for the Front but they hadn't seen that! They obviously knew by the Standard tail pipes etc, i assume there's ways to spot a VR??Bampson - That's exactly what my Mum said mate, too many times innocent people get killed by people like this - you could just see it happening!!At the level crossing the Mk2 was sat there with his foot down, bouncing the car off the limiter - TW@!Hope it blows up! six appeal 53
Numpties, always get this sort of harrassement in the VR, but must say it was worse in My M3 EVO to be honest! But worse yet is when I'm in the Mk2! Think they recon they have more of a chance when I'm in that? To be honest though never really get hassled from other VW drivers there USUALLY the most sensible, and have a sensible and careful (if thats at all possible) thrash without going over the top and getting all agressive.I'm not going to say I won't rise to it cos we all do, but there's a time and a place for recklessness! Save it for the track!LOLI've been into Banger Racing and Stock Racing for many years, why more people don't invest a bit of time and a little money in doing this in a legal way is beyond me! Ok it takes away a lot of my VR/GTI project money, but the buzz is like nothing else my VR etc... has ever given me! Try hanging on to a fully stripped out 4.2litre XJ6 at full throttle around a little oval with 30 other like minded loonies trying to stop you for a rush!My license/life is too prescious to me to risk it on the open road! dubloke 4
its a shame these pair of wankers weren't totalled in "final destination" style at the crossing! unfortunately, as u say, it always ends in someone else getting hurt! people like this dont deserve to even be associated with the vw badge or its ever growing "sensible" culture! well done btw, as most peeps i know would have got out and crunched some heads!
