spadam 7
Ive noticed a very quiet metalic sound at around 1200 rpm only very quiet but am assuming this is chains. Dont wont to leave it to long and risk damaging the engine so wantedto get it done in a couple of months. Am i right in thinking that i need to get a timming chain kit and clutch is that all i will need to buy. Also wheres best to get this from gsf or tps.Cheers
soul-2-soul 3
Hi mate,I would get it checked out to be 100% sure that it is the chains just to be sure.I got my my parts from TPS rather than GSF.Here is a link to the guide in the premium members section for changing chains & it includes the part numbers as well. You will also need coolant & a clutch if your changing that as well. http://www.vr6oc.com/e107_plugins/forum/forum_viewtopic.php?107739If you have no one to do the work then Tonyvrsc has done mine & quite a few other members so drop him a pm if you want more info. Will dig out the receipts & confirm tomorrow.
