Big Ian 1
looking for some advice, i got an advisory last week on both my front disc's ( MOT ) after thinking about a different set up i've left my self with 2 option'soption 1: convert my 288mm disc's to 312mm TT disc's (using my own caliper's)option 2: replace my standard 288mm discs with a good aftermarket set of either grooved or drilled disc'si'll not use my car for track day's etc .. just the odd "spirited" bit of country road drivingwhat would you do? :-d
Ben Seabrook 4
if the car is standard power wise then I would just go for uprated discs and pads - Brembo grooved discs and pagid or green stuff pads is a good combination inmo
soul-2-soul 3
312mm is the better option in my opinion
golfrabbit33 0
as the missus allways says . bigger is better. (wonder who she means ??)
craggsy 91
Depends what wheels you have for 312s. If you only have the standard 15s then you will need to factor in some new wheels as well
craggsy 91
Oh and I did go for 312s........best thing so far as you really do stop

soul-2-soul 3
forgot to add that drilled discs are more for looks than anything else. This http://www.raceshopper.com/tech.shtml#brake_performance is an interesting read on brake upgrades
Big Ian 1
cheer's guy's, i'm running my VR on 17" TT comp's.only after market disc's ive had in the past were drilled & grooved Tarox on a vauxhall and drilled black diamond discs on a mitsubishi galant, the Black-D disc's were far better than the standard disc'sdecision's?? i'll keep my eye's peeled for a set of TT carrier's (& discs) for now, if nothing comes my way over the next week then i'll go for a set of after market 288's
