VR6 Nats new daily!! :) :)

Recommended Posts

Just thought id show you all my new little addition to the VAG family... it was a BARGAIN!!!

89k on the clock

Same family since new

1 patch of rust smaller than a 50p on front, other than that NO dents and NO rust anywhere else!!

It is imaculatte

the interior looks like its never been used, other than the pedals...

i paid £500 and just insured it on an agreed value of £1500... get in!!

I was gonna use it as a ratty car and abuse it, but as its such an original minter i have decided to slam it, stick some mk2 16 slot steelies on it and keep it mint... might even put it into a show n shine at volksfest!! :P

Heres some pics of how she was when i got her....

I did ask about this, but i think after fees etc it would work out too expensive and i wouldnt make any money... maybe she is hinting at the future for when my vr eventually disintegrates. lol. this bodywork is a lot more solid than my vr!! so you never know... if my vr rots into the ground there will be only one thing to do... ;)

thats nice,my first vw was 1.3 mk2 lowered on spax for 550 it was white, and mint i looved it i used to go 75 round the motorway island and when i got of on to the motorway it only went 84 flat out, lmao, but it was the best car to have fun in by far, then i moved onto 8valve gti mk2s and i loved my black 1 to bits,(literally)i had a gas-flowed head fitted it used to beat my mates leon 20v t,but i smiled that much the bottom end gave up and as i was out of work at the time so did i,i looked so hard for a nice mk2 when i got a job again but they was all dogs and i had a vr and then another lol,i miss the drive of the mk2 tho:(,and to any1 who aint had 1,dont knock a mk2 till u have driven 1 it would be stupid;)

yeah they do actually... sometimes i have to be a tad physical when changing down but the gears are sooo different to the vr, its a lot longer geared so im trying to get used to it, but the gearbox does feel really nice... it all does, but then its only done 89k so its all still quite tight. :)

good good theres usually a bit of plastic that breaks (under the gaitor)and u hit reverse instead of 1st,lol,, i really used to love the feel thru the steering wheel aswell(non power steering),hope u dont get addicted ;) as that mk2 has a lot of potential:)

the steering is bloody heavy aint it!! lol. i havent had a car with no power steering since my nova days!! lol.

it has great character, but the good thing with her being so mint is that i am going to keep her totally original, i am going to put a standard stereo in and lower her, she's sat on a different set of steelies but they're still genuine mk2 ones, then im gonna polish her up and take her to a one off show n shine cuz id be amazed if there is a better original one out there than this one... the pics do not do it justice at all... :)

lol,yeh the steering is a bit heavy especialy with the wider standard bbs i had on mine, and i really do belive u about the condition some of them just dont seem to rust but i have had some what do,usually its the lower front panel, rear panel, bottoms of the doors and jacking points, not forgetting the panel under the windscreen which is usual on most now, also i have had loads of mk2s but only 1 with heaters that work, lmao,i like the way u aint gonna spoil it either its a shame to change the appearance after its been like that for soo many years, although i would love it to look as it does now but with the big vr in it,lmao
