still not running right

when i unplug the throttle position sensor the car runs a little better, still not perfect though. I've been trying to get a new one with the same part number from vw they are over 60 quid. And if its not this would be gutted. Does anyone know if i can use one with a different part number im guessing the difference is obd1 and obd2.

first picture is of the original one. part number 037 907 385 Q

the different one i have purchased. part number 021 907 385 B

also as the car is about to stall it makes a relay click under the dash it hangs down on its own not on the fuse box has a 53on it. could it be the tps or could it be the relay broken?

i have also taken the throttle housing off to give it a good clean its a little dirty.

ive just had the head off to try and fix the oil leak. it seems to be coming from where the head gasket goes through the timing chain covers. head is back on but oil leak is still there am i going to have to take it off again? the top cover is well sealed im 100% its not coming from there.

also the cars not been running right i've changed the maf the isv and the throttle position sensor. its running better not spluttering and doesnt smell like its running as ritch, but its still hunting and wont idle. its an obd2 ive checked the leads and plugs and that i have them routed correctly. any ideas?

just been playing around. have found 2 of the ht leads detached at the ends going to order some more see what that does. also a vacume leak the one that goes into the cockpit of the car think its for the mfa? ive disconnected that and bunged the pipe runs better less hunting.

also there is still a clicking from the realy that came with then mk3 loom. i slaved in a new isv and blew through it steadily and you can feel it clicking and trying to shut could this be a stray signal from one of the ht leads? anyone have any ideas?
