Ive fitted some Red Dot pads and discs a while ago . However there is no electrical connector on the pads ! DOH

So now when my ignition is on the ABS light is on !!

Apart from the obvious changin the pads (which i cant afford to do - redundancy) is there any tips or ways of getting past this !!

I fitted new discs and pads to the rear recently. After they were fitted the ABS light came on. The mechanic said it would be the ABS sensors.

He replaced them and now the light doesn't come on except for when you first start the engine. The ABS sensors were £24 for the pair.

I didn't do the job myself but I think it is as easy as changing a disc.

I'm not a mechanic, so I don't know how easy it is to change a disc.

The parts that needed to be replaced on mine were inside the hub on the back of the brake disk (I think).

The mechanic took off the disc and replaced a piece on the back.

If I remember correctly... it was a round thing with teeth on it that fitted into teeth inside the hub on the back of the disc.

When he first did the job he used the original pieces and they were not a tight fit, then he replaced these pieces with new ones that were a tight fit and the light went off after that.

I'm sorry if I'm not very helpful.

If you want, I could ask my mechanic what the details are...
