Engine speed sensor?? Do you mean the sensor thats leaking oil at the front? That aint been changed yet because i cant get to it without getting it on the ramp at my mates work, and cant get there without the car starting lol. Is this sounding like the coilpack? or has anyone got a clue whats happening ? :(

Does sound electrical, got vag com here but i just cannot set it up :@ Got a spare coilpack need to try it but its weird how its happened all of a sudden, would the vagcom pick up a faulty coilpack, had a look at mine thats on now but it looks fine

Im confused lol and i think you are too lol, Ive ruled out the relay for the time being as it worked in another vr6, and its stopped the clicking, it isnt the immobilizer because the injectors are squirting the fuel in and they dont when the immobilizer is on. Tested the plug that plugs onto the coilpack and that has a good power output, tested a plug in a ht lead and there is no spark

ahhh right i see, nice one matty, well mates took mine round to someone to try it on his car it is no longer attached to my car lol, i recon now with you saying that, if the coil pack does work on his car its gotta be that sensor right!? good times!

Just tried my mates crank sensor on my car and had no joy! tested my crank sensor with the multimeter and it has power. Also tested the plug that goes onto the ecu and that has plenty of power with ignition on. Really getting worried about this now and im running out of ideas. Anyone got a clue? my ecu is a c2 motorsport ecu so i hope that hasnt gone been told there over a grand

Should the fuel pump stop when the ignition is turned to start????

ugg.. get the hammer out

Jim you dont know how close i was to just throwing the thing at the wall and ringing the scrap man to take it away before lol.

Now that ive chillaxed abit.... my mate has taken mine with him to open it up and see if any of the solder has worn away or any obvious signs of wear. So do i need to get a standard vr6 ecu then send it away to c2 to get one of their chips fitted to it, how does it work im not clued up on the engine management side of FI

Going to ring c2 tomorrow and see what they suggest, good idea that though matty and thats probably what will happen, my mates just rang me he has just opened up the ecu and said the chip had come away by about half a mil, pushed it back down so going to try it again just incase but i cant see it working myself but worth a try. My ecu has been upside down on the car so im thinking ive gone over a bump and its slowly wigled loose with it hanging upside down
