Starter Motor ???

Hey all

Are the starter motors different on a vr6 to a 2.0 8v? Vr6 all wired up but no fire when i went to start today?

Still has standard 2.0 8v starter attached, is that the problem?

as a rough guess i would say yes, a vr6 takes alot more torque to turn over.
