biggy 0
Hi all, i just bought a 97 highline and spent the last couple of days cleaning it but have noticed that inside the engine bay (bear with me i am not up on car parts yet) there is a part which has sheared off, the car still runs fine and my local garage has said it won't damage anything but i need to replace it. ok here goes from the mass air flow is a large pipe that runs around behind the head from this large pipe there is a smaller pipe that connects to this and comes straight forwards this is connected to a round plastic valve that has a pipe connector on either side the connector from the head side has broken away and i need to replace it but by all accounts you can't just buy this bit you have to buy a whole section which is around £100.if anyone has any idea what i am talking about and can point me in the right direction i would really appreciate it. bungy 2
So much easier if you take a photo either with a camera or phone and post that up. I'm sure you'll get all the help you need.
Ben Seabrook 4
sharan equivalent - 7M0 128 101 - £22.63 + vat this is the Ford part number you need mate - I presume you are talking about the small pipe which runs from the top left of the rocker cover into the air filter

Ben Seabrook 4
well that is the Ford part number quoted earlier then matey although you can just buy a small piece of silicone hose and do it yourself or block both parts off and leave it like that
biggy 0
so will it have any effect on the car whatsoever. if i just put a piece of silicon hose onto it what do i do with the small pipe that comes into the top right side of that circular piece?
Ben Seabrook 4
you can just block it off mate

biggy 0
bugger, just been to ford and ordered it this morning, £31.00 +vat so not too bad really, though reading through the forums i noticed that there was a post about a code coming up on the dash in 01 as a minor fault and in 02 as a major. mines typically got in 02 on the dash so guess i'll have to find out what that is. there was no advisory's from the last service so i guess i'll have to wait and see
CALICO 130
it means nyou need a big service some where on here it says how to reset it otherwise you can switch it off in VAG-COM it means service not fault lol
