Ben Seabrook 4
sounds like it could be the engine temp sensor mate but the best bet is to get it on vag-com to have a check
grafteratwork 2
Yeah will try to get it on a vag com asap tryd disconecting the temp sensor no differance. Thanks for advice matey
Ben Seabrook 4
not sure disconneting would make a difference mate as the ECU would still be getting a bad signal and you would still have the same prob ?? but vag-com is a good place to start
sanchez 0
does it start if you leave it to cool for a while? my vr kept doing that. i replaced the temp sensor, the crank and camshaft sensor. it still kept doing it, so i bit the bullet and took it to vw stealership. ;( the guy found the crankshaft sensor was a faultly one. i had bought it online for 30 bucks (online automotive if i remember correctly). they charged me 170 bucks for the pleasure!!!! sorry bout the ramble but it still pisses me off!!!! :@ :@ :@

kebster 0
Ben id say your right. Its the same priciple as a thermistor on a boiler it rely's on a certain amount of ohms coming from the thermistor to adjust the pcb i think lol im only a gas fitter
