Ive been looking at some chips from Bahn Brenner for the VR, and this may sound a bit stupid but im not sure whether I should be looking at OBD1 chips or OBD2. My car is a 94 but has an engine from a '97 VR.

Obviously the ECU in my car is for an OBD1 engine so just a bit confused.

in that case you got the same engine set up as me. we used a bare obd2 engine and kept it obd1 for the larger throttle body and so i could use the rado inlet manifold. it's not a lot to swap it all over, especially if you wanna upgrade to obd2 then get a proper re-map done at stealth. if not you'll need an obd1 'chip' that is for your ecu code. normally goes by last 2 letters on the ecu, ebay specials promising 5bhp are availible for 30 odd quid and i beleive they are just copies off a well known chip
