VR throttle body query - any ideas?

I've just installed a gas flowed throttle body on my 97 highline. I was told it would take a few days to settle down and work out the new flows etc. After a drive from Bournemouth to Leeds and back its still sitting at around 1000 revs and hasn't gone back to its original 900ish revs.

Do i need to reset anything on the car or go and get it checked with VAG COM to clear any fault codes?

Any help would be appreciated, by the way it goes like stink!

If you turn your ignition but dont start the car and leave it for 15mins it will reset.

VAGCOM can also do a throttle body reset too

did you fit it yourself is the throttle cable to tight

Although I don't think you need to leave it that long, if you open the bonnet you'll hear it making noises, when it stops it's done

3 mins with ignition on 3 mins on idle or vagcom takes about 15 seconds!!! may not cure it tho have you removed the hump in the tb?

I've just had my head re-conditioned and new chains, tensioners, etc. fitted and when I went to channel 098, it says apt OK but when I goto basic settings it says adaption error. Its a 96 VR Highline OBDII

Problem solved! Tried the 3 minute ignition on and then idle for 3 mins, sorted itself right out. Many thanks for the knowledgable advice

I have the same problem, i think its because the stepper motor in my TB is broken.

I think a new (or 2nd hand) TB is the only solution.
