So who on here is runnin the widest wheels??

Those of u who have seen my build thread recently will have seen the wheels I've just bought so Who is my competition? Or should I say who do I run to for help when i get round to fittin them lol

they were BBS RF's. like RS's but with a different centre design

Well the ones I got are 9.5 but have to run adaptors too so gonna be on the insane side of poke!

What size tyres did u run?

yeah i had to get my rear discs redrilled to 5x112 otherwise they wouldnt work. its all in the offsets though! you can get them under just folded arches with a little work

used 215/35 but shouldve gone 205/40 really

Ah ok, I'm not lookin forward to the problems I'm gonna encounter but I'm determind their gonna go on lol

I have 8J x 17 with 205/40/17 front and back. My suspension is lowered 40 on the rear and 50 on the front.

I tried to put 20mm spacers on the rear but the arch was rubbing on the tire if I put one person in the back. I took the spacers off and have checked how much space there is as the tire moves past the arch lip and there is about 5mm spare. That's with arch work on the rear.

Running 215/40 16s. Lowered 45mm all round. Could manage up to about 55 - 60mm. Maybe 65mm if I wanted tyre/arch contact on bumps.

My mate Kam had 10s on the back of his vento. Only the rim of the wheel poked due to the stretch, the tyre tread was nicely tucked. Perfect ET management.

what size tyres is he runnin?

I did a quick work out n found that with the adaptors (20mm),If I don't redrill will be the same as runnin 10.2" rears lol

215/45s but they were on when he obught them. No doubt he would have had smaller tyres if he had to buy the tyres haha.

I think I'll be lookin at gettin 205 45s goin by general consensus, there's gonna be a lot of trial and error tho I think
